Glamping History

Longtime New Yorker Rebecca Martin has been on the cutting edge of glamping and experiences since founding TerraVelo Tours in March, 2014. The 7 day bike and adventure tours featured two private chefs, activities such as hiking, rafting and horseback riding, and the pampering of a masseuse and sunrise yoga. Tours took place throughout the United States, including in America's most stunning landscapes: Southern Utah's 5 national parks, Yellowstone National Park, Napa California and Woodstock, NY. Seeking to create an even more amazing hospitality experience, in 2016, Terra Glamping launched the first Terra Glamping hotel in Northern California overlooking the Pacific Ocean, has served thousands of clients. (Vogue, Readers Digest, Forbes). In 2019 Terra Glamping opened the first glamping hotel in The Hamptons at Terra Glamping: East Hampton.

In 2017, Terra Glamping fully launched their event business (tent rentals and fully produced glamping events), and ran a 40 night pop-up near the beach in New York City. (Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Curbed)
